We Things to Can Your Mattress Protector Stand up to Sasquatch
Things that creep in the night
Things that creep in the forest
We Things (poem)
And whet our appetite
With things that just arent right
What thrills can we incite
-
A night to scare
What wasnt there
Its hardly fair
Look out beware
-
What thrills can we invite
Slipping into the night
To wet our appetite
We things that just arent right
-
To scare with flare
As people stare
We just dont care
No time to spare
On jealous air
Look out beware
-
For our wet appetite
Is loose to plague the night
What thrills may we ignite
Just when you thought things right
-
Those unaware
That we are there
To slip into their night
They sense that things arent right
Declare despair
And then prepare
To wet your appetite
With thrills beyond delight
It just might scare
Look out beware
-
We settle into night
And feel at last alls right
What thrill we did alight
To ease our appetite
-
For the night
Look out beware
Something slithering through the night is the shiverings of this poem. This poem only uses two rhyme sounds: "air" and "ite". It also only uses two meters: four and six. By relentlessly sticking to these limitations as the tale unfolds adds a feeling of madness. If we are wondering why the last to lines don't rhyme. It's because the two rhyme sounds are taking their final bow.
Arlene and I have had more than our share of charlatans in the world of the paranormal. Our house had some great, strange phenomenon. All of which were solved. I know and can perform some magic tricks. Still, Arlene and I were open minded to the paranormal and magic. One of our exploits took us to Amador, California and the Imperial Hotel. The Imperial Hotel is the home of the White Lady and several other ghosts that were spotted and recorded by noted ghost hunters. Arlene and I didn't go to debunk anything. We just went to take in the experience and maybe see a ghost. The Imperial is part of an old western ghost town close to an old cemetery. The scene was set. Once it got dark, the streets of the ghost town got empty, except for the guests of the hotel. Arlene and I couldn't resist exploring the night. The strangest thing was how quiet it was. Quiet, except for the sounds of people's voices, which seemed to carry endlessly. Into this night Arlene and I let our feelings go as we wandered the streets. There was no TV in our room. Instead, we had the voices of the other guests talking: as if they were in our room. Here we were, in a haunted hotel, listening to what our neighbors were saying and doing. Somehow we managed to get to sleep. Arlene and I didn't see any ghosts. Still, we are open minded.
Are there ghosts? I don't know. I have never seen one. In fact, every life experience seems to indicate that they don't exist, Yet, I prefer to keep a door open. This has to do with "Belief Systems". We all have them. Belief Systems govern how we act, how we see things, the things we see, how we feel, everything. True or false: We all have them. Every individual, every group, every organization and on and on, has its own Belief Systems. And Belief Systems change; even those based on facts. What is true today may not be true tomorrow. What is true for one person may not be true for another, Belief Systems. Confusing? That's all right; As long as they don't hurt anybody or anything. And we; Must learn to respect other's Belief Systems (as long as they don't harm anyone or anything). And together we should make part of our Belief System to be open. Open to that better day. And with every step toward that day let us Enjoy,

From a ghost town to a forest
Scientists discount the existence of Sasquatch and consider it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than a living animal. They note the lack of physical evidence after centuries of investigation, despite the fact that numerous creatures would have to exist in order to maintain a breeding population. A small group of investigators are sustained in their interest by occasional new reports of sightings. Such reports are attributed to persons seeing various animals, particularly black bears. Another report points to a commercial that has turned up.
Is there a Sasquatch? "Can Your Mattress Protector Stand up to Sasquatch?"

We only see what we want to see; we only
hear what we want to hear. Our belief system
is just like a mirror that only shows us what
we believe.
