Moments' Kisses to Watching TV with your Parents
Lovers enjoying their life together
A son enjoys TV with his mom

Moments' Kisses (poem)

Now only moments' kisses still remain
Where days adrift with dreaming had once danced
It seemed the world was laid out at our feet
And there was time enough to see it through
-
The air was scented with enchantments strain
Beyond beyond the wonders which we chanced
And when we held existence was complete
We lived a love the hands of heaven drew
-
Then came the dawn of sorrows bitter pain
When in our mirror strangers faces glanced
Within our souls was lie of our defeat
And from our eyes fell rain of lifetimes dew
-
Our hearts with kisses' moments now regain
For we were dreams which fantasies romanced
There for a time did pure perfection meet
And I was there to live it all with you

Lovers' lives are echoed in moments' kisses and this poem. With the first stanza we are led to believe this is a free form poem. Then we see that each line rhymes with the sane line of each stanza. This was done to hint how life is tied together.

It was the year 2000, Sure, there were still many magic moments ahead, but the time had come for Arlene and me to hand over the reigns of the parties to others. Normally, Arlene and I spend our time in the "now". The past few years were so unbelievable. They offered no time for reflection. Did they really happen at all?  We used to enjoy tender moments, at night, cuddling under a blanket sharing moments. Those moments became far and few. There were just too many dreams waiting to come alive. But now there was time to breath.  Time to take things a little more easy. (Even though we would reestablish San Francisco Chapter Order Of DeMolay during this time.) Time to take in all that we had done. There were the countless parties. Then came the parenting days and the disco era and all the places we took in. Then came those bitter times. Those days and nights it almost ended. It was hard to believe that was us. Beyond that was that couple in the "Palace in the Sky". Now here we are.

Just to provide something to think about. Normally I encourage everyone to live in the now. Arlene and I had this fun game. We would romantically cuddle in a blanket, at night, somewhere comfortable. There we would engage in a soft "remember when". In our mad days when we were in charge of entertainment, there was little time to enjoy what happened; except what worked and what didn't. Living in the now was taken to extremes. Most of us enjoy reading stories. I enjoy people telling me stories of their life. I have found the best story is ours. How many of us take pictures? Time frozen. The past. Memories. We can go to our favorite restaurant, where our memory tells us we had a good time and the food was good, or we can risk something new. That is live That is our life. And while we are trying to balance it out, Enjoy.

Here is a great song about life: Alan Jackson "Remember When"

Living at home with the parents

Todays young adults are more likely to be at home for an extended stay compared with previous generations of young adults who resided with their parents, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of U.S. census data. As of 2016, 15% of 25- to 35-year-old Millennials were living in their parents home. This is 5 percentage points higher than the share of Generation Xers who lived in their parents home in 2000.This is not only true in America but other countries as well.
Here to give us an insight into living with the parents in Ireland is Foil Arms and Hog, "Watching TV with your Parents - Foil Arms and Hog"
