A Prisoner to Jungle Jail
A prisoner of love
A prisoner of a different sort
A Prisoner (Shakespearean sonnet)
Delighting in the realms that hold me in
Just waiting for a moment to begin
And kiss the things I thought I knew goodbye
-
Aware somewhere there rests a hidden key
To every treasure locked up in my mind
The timeless pleasure only lovers find
Beyond a heavens star-swept melody
-
I see a sea of darkness and despair
A doubtful past which yearns to breath the light
Two arms to trust amid the cold bleak night
To care to share to bear I see it there
-
Profound I found her stare held prisons prize
A passage that laid hidden in her eyes
The delights of a prison of a lover's eyes is held within this Shakespearean sonnet. More than a simple love sonnet. There is the repeat of sounds in the second and forth beats of all the first lines (lost and lost, ware and where). In the conflict stanza (the third quatrain) something more lies hidden. This is resoled in a heavy rhymes within rhymes of the forth line.
Here's a tale that you may like. At Chevron there was "the fun for lunch bunch". It was a bunch of us guys who met at lunch to have a good time. I don't know how Don got to be a member. He was a nice enough guy, But he was Boring (with capital B). I guess we all saw something more in Don. That's why we all let him hang around. Don disappeared for a couple of weeks. When he reappeared, there was a guy who looked like Don. His clothes were no longer drab. His conversation was interesting. He told jokes that were actually funny. What could have brought about this drastic change? Of course, it was a girl. Don had met a girl and we wanted to meet her. Was she pretty? It was hard to say. She had eyes that pulled one in. It was hard not to lose oneself in her eyes. She was used to our staring at her eyes. She had been dealing with people's stares for some time. We thanked her for bringing us a friend we always suspected was there. She thanked us for Don. Evidently, he was the first person to stare into her eyes and find something more. What was her name? That too was lost in her eyes.
Everyone is special. Consider this: As of 2015 there were an estimated 7.347 billion people on this planet and only one you. When we stop to think about it, that in itself is pretty spectacular. Wait, there is more. We all have our own talents and gifts to change the world, Yes, we all change the world, just by being here. But some of create, build, grow, produce, entertain, influence others and much, much more. Hopefully we have discovered some of our richness and worth. Allow this moment to lavish in the splendor which is us. Now take the next step. We are all special. Everyone we see. Even those who don't see us. Some do indeed have more, different, unique skills, talents than others. But somehow we are equal. There is no high or low. Everyone deserves our respect. Mighty is the king until he needs a plumber. It is a wonderful world. Believe it. It all starts here. And as we work with other marvels this world becomes better. Better for us and everyone to Enjoy.

Now for a prisoner of a different sort
There are over 2.2 million people are currently in U.S. jails or prisons,. Thats more than the entire population of New Mexico. It is the highest prison population in the entire world. Just for fun, let;s go to France where a young prisoner comes into a crazy jail where everything can happen.
Sit back and be glad that it's not us. "Jungle Jail"

We are all, each and every one, unique in the Universe.
And that uniqueness is what makes us valuable.
